My New Do!

So this is a late post. The picture is from about a month ago, but I took my hair out of my token weave and decided to go get it cut. It seriously needed a cut, because split ends were making it look like a seriously hot mess. Anyway I went to the salon and I sweat this woman has the magic touch. Usually, I go to the salon and it takes them forever to wash and dry my hair because it is long and natural.

(These are old pics of my crazy hair. You rarely see my own hair nowadays because weaves have invaded my life)

This time, I think it took less than 30 mins to wash dry and press my hair. Miracle Workers! Trumpets blowing. Tada! This is the result. 30 minutes later my hair was 4 inches shorter. Check out the pics. Let me know if you like the cut/style. I may keep it like this for a while.

Spar-Thaiiiiiiii

So yesterday I had a Thai craving and decided to hit my favorite spot Thai Kitchen in East Lansing, which i like to call Thai Kitty (i think my friend Bunmi put me onto them and that nick name) for early dinner.

Anyway They never Fail! I'm thankful for thailand... Their Shrimp Pad Tai hit the spot. Thai ppl sure know how to blend contrasting things well in all aspects of life. They eat sweet and savory food, they are friendly with a no nonsense attitude, and their city is a mix of rural and urban flair!. And Thai people I've met are so open to get to know others no matter the culture. They only care that you are nice! I LOVE them. Sawatdee Kaa my beautiful Thai People! Love ya

Okay, back to the reason I blogged. That thai dinner reminded me to blog about this cool new transportation service I ran across in Michigan. Its called Spar-Thai! So fitting. The place is owned by David Thorin and his uber-sweet Thai wife! She is so nice. Her smile alone sells the business. Anyway they were inspired by the Thai cabs that take people from place to place in Thailand... like Nigerian Okadas, but with cabooses attached.

(Picture of the thai scooters, Ask Mr Thorin about their story, you will be pleasantly surprised)

They opened Spar-Thai  to add a eco friendly way for students to get around and also for new students and families to get tours of the city and campus. The bikes are pedal/battery operated and go about 15mph. Their prices are much cheaper than the cabs around  Lansing or even the Green Cabs, which I happen to use often. Sorry green cabs, I think I found a nice summer alternative for when I'm not in a rush.

The Spar-Thai brand also doubles as a laundry service for MSU Campus Students because it is right in the heart of the Campus Social Center (Grand River Ave). If you need a ride or just want to see what its like, call 517-333-8700. They are also looking for scooter operators so if you are a student and need a job, call them. www.spar-thai.com

(Mrs Thorin and their little puppy pose by the scooters)

(toy version of the Thai scooters that inspired them, made of Sprite and other Coke brand Cans)

Anyway this is another reason to love my Thai sisters and brothers!

Sidenote: I wonder if this idea would work in Nigeria? Maybe Maybe not.

Living Well Lifestyle Diet (Day 1)

So I've started my Living well Lifestyle Diet (LWLD). I'm sure you are wondering, what is that! and who its by... Well I made it up! And it's just a diet for my whole life. I'm dedicated to eating healthy, working out, having healthy relationships, promoting peace of mind and peace in my life, etc. This means decrease the stress, sleep well, exercise, eat well, no alcohol!!!!

So far I'm finding it a little hard to do it, but I'm encouraged. This weekend I went bowling. This is actually a nice exercise and fun too. It helps remove the stress. But  of course today is Monday. Monday means deadlines, work, stress. So what I decided to do is do what I can, and leave what I cannot do until tomorrow. I will go home, run, shower, and work a little more from home, then go to sleep at an acceptable hour! Yay!

In terms of food, I've stocked really healthy things at home! Carrots, celery, oatmeal (I love it), Bountiful Morning Cereal, and I have cut out red meats and fowl. Its a pescetarian lifestyle. I eat more Fish, Shell Fish, Eggs and veggies. I am actually sticking to the restrictions, the problem is I forgot to restrict myself from eating candy.

Today I started off well with Quaker Oats Oat meal. I mistakenly left my lunch at home and immediately l went for KitKats and Reese's Cups. This is very bad. I am including no candies to my diet.

As far as working out, I am doing great! I park my car off campus and force myself to do a 15min walk daily to and from my car with my bookbag on. This is good because some days I cant get a workout in.

I have to force myself tho to try to take steps again and sometimes bike to school. My lateness disease (lol its not a disease, I'm just always late to everything) keeps me from biking to school alot because I find myself in a rush late for meetings.

In terms of more positive relationships, I'm trying to be more patient... with friends, family, co-workers. I'm trying to be less snippy, more smilie, less busy, more available, less tired, more vibrant, less argumentative, more open-minded.

Some things are not worth going into debate over, agree to disagree, avoid toxic people, learn to say  NO once in a while, take time for ME, and most of all take time for GOD! Majority of things I'm doing personally in this LWLD come out of  the Book of Proverbs.

Anyway I feel positive about this Living well Lifestyle Diet! It's helping me be an all round better person. If I can Eat Well, Live Well, Be Well, then I think I can Feel Well. I'll keep you posted!

Outsourced..

I really didn't know what to expect when I started watching this show. I thought it would be a xenophobic spoof of The Office that was trying to appeal to displaced Americans in the work force... why would I watch that? well just to see scare tactics that people use to try to divide a country more...lol

But to my surprise Outsources is a really funny show. If you are an American, Indian, African, or anything in between and have a sense of humor, you will love this show. Its cute. It has equal opportunity jokes and really tries to combat stereotypes in jest. It also lets us realize how offensive we could be sometimes when we dont know it and makes us more sensitive to other cultures. Take a peak at the pilot episode and let me know if you liked it too!

The Lord can interpret your Dreams! Just Ask

Let me start by saying.. in Job 33:15, the bible defines a dream as "in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed.

Okay so those that read my blog know that I had a zombie dream. Well actually, for the past few days, I've been having really vivid crazy dreams. Some were really scary, some based on my real life, some based in fiction. Its even more weird when you have no meaning to what you are dreaming. So after church yesterday, and after talking to a friend of mine about another dream I had, I drove in my car and started praying to God. I prayed to Him, thanked Him for being my Father, a never ending God, in control of all. I thanked him for being a Magnificent All Powerful God, and all of a sudden I started praying about my dreams. I prayed and asked Him that He take control, that in the bible, there is nothing that says dreams are bad, and that, in fact;God helped Joseph and Daniel decipher dreams. So I asked HIM to reveal to me all my dreams. I told HIM that I am happy i can go to HIM and ask Him for ALL things, and that what I was asking for was that He as the Creator of dreams should also be my Interpretor. I asked that anything the devil tries to put in my head, the Lord should cast out, that I rebuke lies and deceit, because the Lord is the truth and light. I asked that dreams that have no meaning, I should be able to discern from dreams where the Lord is delivering His Word to me. As you know not all dreams are prophetic, some are just dreams, some are lies, and some are visions in sleep of things to come, changeable or unchangeable. I kept asking the Lord to reveal his message to me when there is one. That I am ready for it.

okay lets rewind back... some time ago, my mom had a dream about me, that I would get into a car accident. Before I left on a trip,  she called me when she woke and started praying for me. We prayed... and prayed............................... and prayed. And I really dismissed the whole thing. I shouldn't have because God was truly speaking. If my mom didn't pray for me, I would have had a really bad situation. Basically, I was driving, I wasn't tired and I got a great nights sleep the night before, but all of a sudden, sleep befell me, and I fell asleep at the wheel and almost ran into the median. Well actually I did run into the barrier, but only my side mirror and wheel hit. We thank God that I got a phone call that buzzed me awake and got me to have control of the wheel. If I didn't get that call, I would be road kill! We thank God for that intervention. God moved someone to WAKE me. It wasn't my time, and God warned us so we could pray for his favor.

Here's the thing, I pulled into a rest stop which was only half a mile away from where I fell asleep and I called my mom and said "don't ever call me to tell me I will be in an accident!". I was freakin' FREAKED OUT at that time! at that time i didn't realize what I was saying. it was an ungrateful statement. I was basically saying that the Lord should not reveal things to me. so my mom basically put me in check to let me know... HEY! the Lord reveals things to people in many ways and if he has revealed something to someone to give you that message, you should be ready to accept that message at ALL times. Its the difference between life and death. So i really saw what she meant and thanked God and thanked him and thanked him! God is good...

okay going back to my dreams.... so after my prayer, I went on with my day. I even by evening forgot my prayer. I was on to other things... but I am living proof that the Lord does answer prayers... lets get to what I actually want to write about... this is going to be a LONG blog...

Okay so let me start by saying that I am a geek. I love everything scifi... I love zombie movies, vampire movies, alien movies, and high tech end of the world type of movies. As a christian, I know that bad, but I never cut them out. Bad bad me. I watch shows such as Tru Blood, Star Gate SG1, Haven, Eurika, etc.

Anyway last night my favorite cast from Star Gate SG1 was in my dreams. I was there too! Basically, there was something like a virus or bug that was making things rapidly rot. It started slowly and all of a sudden would quickly take over the world without warning and rot everything DEAD! This included the people, including my SG1 cast, you and me. THEN.... We would un-rot, and have a change to try to slow, stop or reverse the "bug". We tried it several times. All sorts of science didn't work! Nothing worked. I woke up, and rather than stay awake, I went back to sleep! I went back to trying to solve it in my dream and I started to pray in my dream. As I was praying I was saying that I am a child of God and that I choose life, not death. I kept saying that the devil has no power over me. somehow the rotting passed me and a few people over as it waved over the earth. and then as usual, it refreshed and the rotting started again, but this time, I knew where it was coming from. there was a bin with maggots/termite type bugs, and they were ready to start rotting evertyhing on earth. The team was recognized with a medal and made in charge of thing, but people didnt realize that it wasnt science that stopped the rot, it was prayer, and when people didnt realize that, the rot came back and even reached the space station where the SG1 team was. Noone was safe. But in praying over and over again, I kept getting spared. and the rot could tell who was of God and who wasn't. It had no effect, and ever ran from those who were God's children. We were ministering to the rot... and I woke up...

WOW. that dream was intense. I got up to go to the bathroom and midstream... yes i started praying and peeing... but mid stream i started praying. I was praying in my mind, and all of a sudden I started praying aloud. I usually dont like to pray aloud because my mouth is not as fast as my mind, but I was moved to pray aloud and it was just as fast as my SPIRIT b/c i was trying to understand what i was praying. Man!!!! what in the world... or I should say what in the heavens... My prayers as I was hearing myself was a revelation of my dream. I kid you not. I just started crying and praying. We thank God!

That revelation was not anything I didn't know. The long and short is that all of this is God's. He is the creator. He has control of all. even the devil. The Lord will allow the devil to test us. After all we all have free will. and get this... we all get 2nd chances. We all get a chance to do it over, but if we keep doing it over the wrong way, then we are choosing death. things of this earth are of the flesh. it may look pretty on the outside, but its really rotting inside. And there is no science or rational that can prevent it. Only the Lord has that power. So why are we looking to science, money, psychics, or things of the flesh? it wont stop the rot. And remember, God only gives us so many chances until our chances are up and he calls us to be judged.

For me, I want to be among the first wave, those that reach the gates and are permitted entry, and if I live to see the End of Days, I want to be part of that Second wave where Jesus calls us up to him. I dont want to stay on this earth to be part of that ROTTING and DEATH. Everlasting LIFE is my portion !!!! We thank God!!!!

So that was my dream!...

On a side note, yesterday in church they talked about spiritual maturity and how you can't be satisfied with just being born again. That maturing in your Christian life is a must! So in my prayer, I thanked him for this step in the process to spiritual maturity. God is calling me to MATURE. Is he calling you? If so, dont let it go to Voicemail, Pick up and answer that Call! Answer each and every time he Calls. Let the Holy Spirit be that special ring tone!

Anyway sorry to get all preachy today, but that dream just moved me this morning. So there you have it. I hope you learned something from this that I'm sharing! We thank God for it....

And BTW, I just found while writing this blog a great webpage that talks about dreams and the bible... a nice read. What does Bible say about DREAMS?

Have a great and bless week folks!

Top 10 reasons to move back to Nigeria Right now!!!

So my bestie B just came bak from Naija and she is already packing her things and going to move to naija permanently. One trip to Naija has turned her! she is a Returnee! It had me wondering... I really need to sit down and decide. What are the things that I can think of that make me want to move back to Nigieria. Is it just the feeling, is it just the thought of 'oh i moved back' or are there reasons in my mind why I should move back to Nigeria. So I put out my top 10 reasons to move back to Nigeria RIGHT NOW!

10. Food is so fresh, you will improve your dietary habits
9. In naija there's no racial anything. Everyone is black. You can't blame it on race. You just gotta make that money
8. There is nothing here in the states that i cant get in naija with enough money in my bank
7. Because we lack so many things there that anything you bring back with you will make a difference.

6. Africa is relatively shielded from this whole economic bust thingy... they've seen some losses, but not nearly as much as europe and north america will see.
5. If you have banked some money here saving for a house, you can definately for a small fee, ship ur ish to naija, get a place, and have a cushy buffer. Cost of living is low.
4. Opportunities for people with american degrees... even more for health care field
If you are young n looking to get married, there and many quality guys back home ready to settle down...
3. If you are wondering what there is to do in naija, man are you missing out! there's club scene, lunch with friends, tourism places like water parks in calabar, hiking trails, etc, the beaches are hot, people actually wear bikinis now on the beach, you can travel to other states and other african countries... ghana is a hotspot for tourism
2. Going to naija at a young age gives you the opportunity to go, make mistakes, and either rise up, or ditch and come back here and still have time to build up something good without any loss. just make sure to get an open ended return ticket. hehehehe

1. Because if you are not there to make an impact and change nigeria, then you dont matter, so dont complain.

Nigeria don't fail me

Have I possibly lost faith in my plan to move to Nigeria? It seems that in the past month, people and situations have been trying to disuade me from moving there. I spoke to one older Nigerian who said...

Naija is tough! dont trust Naijas! They will lead you on! They will ask u to
bring your ideas then steal them. You are too soft for Naija. You are too nice
for naija. They will eat you alive. Naija is no place for a woman!

After all that! I was so discouraged. But in teh back of my mind I'm thinking.. Nigeria has so many opportunities, it just matters your strategy. This person has had bad experiences, but will I? I'm young enough to take risks, and reap rewards. I can fail 20 times in you young life going after big things because if one pans out, I may do really well. This elder does not have that luxury...

That was chip number 1.

Chip number 2 came when I was speaking to a so-called mentor... someone I thought was there to hear my ideas and help me launch them forward. After praising the idea and telling me it will pan out, I hear,

Oh you can never do that project. 6 people r doing it. you have neither the
resources or connections to get it. You are not even in the game

OMG! so after talking to a friend, then warned me that this person might want to do the project or give the project to their child. Or that they just might not want to see you succeed, or maybe want you to cut them in on the deal. It's amazing how people close to you may not be what you think they are.

The chips may cause a crack pretty soon.... but for now, my armor is still solid. I have faith in my mission!!!! Operation Gidi Bound!!!!
After all there so many things to lure you home such as....

Let me know what you think of your experiences with returning to Nigeria, Moving to Nigeria for first time, or if you are planning to move to Naija or planned, but backed out.

A crazy hectic august

At the begining of this month, I had a last minute trip to Gidi. It was focused on project work and volunteering. After this trip, I really see myself living permanently in Nigeria. No if, ands, or buts!!! I really want to make a impact. I had the pleasure while i was there of volunteering at the Heart of Gold Childrens Hospice for motherless babies. It really touched my heart. I vow now that each visit to Nigeria, I will take supplies there and spend time with the children. They really need to the help. Check out www.hoghospice.org and check out my blog @ www.missadelaja.blogspot.com where I talk more in depth about HOG Hospice.

On the way back, I stopped in Paris. It was really relaxing. I took the train from Charles De Gaulle (spelling) airport to Paris. I needed to kill time, so I walked around, age breakfast, shopped, shopped, shopped, relaxed in the parks, etc. It was really nice.

I was glad to get back home, but met the crazy stress of school and research. Sometimes, I want to QUIT!!!!!!! I'm tired!!!!! I just want to graduate, and work towards that, but i also feel like i'm really destine to do so many things. It's hard to juggle business, volunteer work, other endeavours, and SCHOOL!!! But I'm trying. If school doesnt kill me, my parents will if i dont get my degrees. Note the word degrees has an 'S' on it. Anyway school is so sucky right now. I feel like i need time off. Personal leave of absence, but i'm too chicken to speak up. and i'm too scared that any break i take will become permanent. Anyway i let me shut up about that. A woman's gotta do what she's gotta do. and that's study.

Anyway my boss reams me out for my unexcused absence from school. Yeah I forgot to mention that my trip was unexcused. oops. i left on a wednesday and came back on a monday. i missed wed, thuds, fri, and monday. yeah. that will do it. I know he was extremely upset, but he is really good at calming a situation down. As i was getting over the scolding and back to my normal school grind, I realized my bday is coming up. Yup my Bday is today!!!!!!!!!

Anyway last friday I woke up wondering what I would do for my bday and just decided I wanted to party in Chicago.... so I did! it was the best bday since my 25th bday... yes am old. It was fun! I then realized my Gidi Girl Bee is also an August Babie... though she's only a virgo.. not a lushious leo, but anyway, we decided to do a joint aug bday bash!!! My girlfriend Natalia and I drove to Chicago for the festivities. Natialia is a fashion designer. she is fierce!!!! check out http://www.nataliavillafana.com/ her fall line will be up soon for orders. She is also always at shop chicago.

I have a little design skills of my own tho. Not on her level, but I can sew basics...lol I made a killer Ankara dress with bling for the event. I bought a pair of shoes that Natialia's sister makes... Candice Blake shoes... made in Italy! Contact Natalia for orders. Pics coming soon!!!!

We celebrated in VIP style at Shrine!!! I keep talking about shrine. That's because the place is fabulous!!!! They staff is nice, the managers, hostess, and staff. My waitress was cool. Very polite and fun too. She danced with us too! must be a fun job!!! Anyway, We had fun!!! i dance my ass off!!!! Biola danced her ass off!! and it was Natalia's 1st time listening to Nigerian music, but she loved it!!! Dj DeeMoney really did his thing!!!!! Mixin all he best Naija, West african, reggae, hihop, everything!!!! Amazing night!!!!

Also saw Wale from the Kolo Show. Those guys r doing their thing! shout out to yemi, fineboy and wale from the kolo show. Havent had a chance to meet yemi yet. www.tokstv.com

After the party was the afterparty! we went to soundbar. and danced my ass off some more!!!! Then went up to the house music part!!! had so much fun shaking my bum and my hair!!!! jumpin up and down, and all. love that music. cuz then you cant tell that i dont know how to dance!!!!

I love my chicago ppl!!!! Dami, GidiGirl Bee, T, BT, you all make me so happy! I have so much fun!!! I just shake and wiggle!!!

Speaking of Dami!!!! ooooo loooooord!!!! Boy can dance!!!! you put him in a room by himself and its a party!!!! dAAAAAAAAMIIIIII!!!!!!! his name should be DAMN-you can -dance! whooo!

anyway! was a fun wknd!!! We also shot an episode of GidiGirls with GGB and GGA back together again! was a reunion. I missed GGB so much while i was away!!!

Now i'm back in lansing. tihs place is so dry i feel i can poke my eyes out so as not to see time flowing backwards. sheesh!!! for the love of all that is degree granting.

awyway. today is my bday!!! i went to work, I hate going into my office BTW. its so distracting. n so 'my office' bleh!!!! but my mom sent me FLOWERS for my BDAY!!!!!! I love u mommy and sis!!!! muah!!!! kiss kiss!!! Roses to be precise! roses and a balloon to be even more precise! Loved it!!!! N my GGB and T called me. Natalia did too, and lotsa friends. made me feel really good.

After work, i had moer work (meeting with a researcher) outside the office. was productive. talked about work stuff and the direction of our research. stuff like this is what keeps me going!!!

Anyway after that, I went to meet natalia. she is making my dress for the pageant!!! I'm so excited!!!! the sketches look so FABO!!!! n the materials r extra sexy!!!! I cant wait!!! check out www.MNIApageant.com

Hey! We did it!!!! The premiere of Gidi Girls Webshow!!!!

Had a blast this past weekend working with my Gidi Girl Bee and Homeboy T! We finished filming Gidi Girls Premiere! I love those 2. They keep me smiling and crazy! They came to Lansing. I showed them the cow fields, the down town, and east lansing. They said "thats it?" I took them out saturday night. We stopped by a house party. They said it was very musty and small. Well we all can't have huge grown and sexy house parties like awon chicago. lol Bee sais she wants to kidnap me from the nightmare. lol i guess that's michigan for ya. i love it tho.

Anyway when they came we had drama from the begining. i was sleeping. and people who know me know i cant wake up for anything. alarm, fire, food, anything. sleep is sleep and i like it... i love it! So they waited outside my house for 2 hours calling me (32 missed calls) textin me, and banging on the door. We tried to re-enact it in a skit int he show.

Speaking of the show. I just want to say that I am proud of myself. We took something that was originally a joke about creating a gidi girl music group, that evolved to a crazy video, that evolved to us making a weekly webshow. we talked about it, and in less than a week, we delivered on our promise. I am so proud. Bee and I do everything! camera (sometimes T does this) skits, scripts, editing, blogging, promoting, recruiting guests, etc. So I almost cried that all our hard work paid off. 2 Ijebu babes hustlin! I love it! Nothing more cool than 2 women working hard to see something through.

I had a not so cool moment though... I really dont know sometimes why someone would try to pit to friends against eachother. lol some people are so silly. a PERSON tried to make waves by badmouthing a homegirl of mine to me. lol that stuff doesnt work when friends are strong sweetie! Keep it moving. She's ma homegirl. your comments are MUTE! lol.

Now that that's done... Lets talk about Olu Maintain. I saw him in April at this Encomium Magazine event in those white saudi arabian garb and a harem in all white. I was like WTH? But I still love him as an artist. His CD came out yesterday... Lol we talk about it in the show... "with all due respect... press play" .... i will here in refer to it as press play. lol too many words are bad for my health. But the CD is suppose to be hot. I will try to get one if I can soon, but I dont know if It will be on sale here. maybe online.

Yes its us. Bee and Angel http://gidigirlwebshow.blogspot.com/2009/07/season-premiere-of-gidi-girls-webshow_28.html

TGI Friiiiiiiiday!!!!

So I'm so happy today is friday! This week has been so eventful and uneventful all at the same time. My being sick was a downer, but I got a lot on my To Do list done. I finally cleaned my room. It's amazing how much more positive and light I feel when my room is clean. The dirty room thing was a product of the overwhelming amount of clothes that needed to get put away after my last trip to Gidi and the subsequent domestic travel. Anyway it's all clean!!!!

I'm so glad it's clean because my Gidi Girl Bee is coming with my fam friend T. It's on and popping this weekend!!!! lol yeah right! we are probably going to just hang out. Anyway Im excited none the less.

What I'm not excited about is people that dont stick to their word. I can't stand that! If you are gonna be a woman or a man, you have to be trust worthy and credible. I will talk about this more in my www.TwinkleToesKB.blogspot.com .

Anyway yesterday was hella cool. After getting some school stuff done, I hung out with my friend/creative director/talent scout/entertainer/soccer supa star/crooner/beat maker/camera man/student/naija guy K. K is super cool and crazy. K has offered to make the intro song for Gidi Girls Webshow www.gidigirlwebshow.blogspot.com . This is if Naeto C cannot be reached or does not let us use his Gidi Girl Swag song... Please Naeto C let us use it. Help a sistah out!!! Sho mo? Lol!

Anyway hanging out with K, we talked, we chilled, he taught me to play the guitar! The only other thing i learned on guitar was stairway to heaven on an eletric guitar like 5 years ago! Anyway our mini jam session was cool. Then he played some beats for me!!!! Dude is so talented. We freestyled to the beats. He's up and coming. His beats are SICK! Maybe later I will post a youtube of one of his stuff.

Tomorrow is the MNIA Assignment 1 deadline. I will tape a video of the assignment too! check out www.MissAdelaja.blogspot.com for that.

Day 1- In the Beginning, there was Angel

Since I was young, I wanted to make an impact on the world. It was in college that I realized I could make an impact on Nigeria. Soooooo cliche? Well all I know is that I have made a decision to move to Nigeria to find my place and fulfill my destiny. Lol . Anyway the journey has begun. Along the way I’ll blog about all the crazy things going on in my life. I’ll talk about school, business, pageant life, friends, love and all that pertains to a gidi girl in the making.

So far let me gist you….

School wise, I’m on my grind. I try to balance school and making money. I love my research… BTW I research drugs (Drug abuse and things that pertain to it such as high risk sexual behaviors, mental health, etc) I get tired sometimes, but I can’t wait until I am Dr. Miss Adelaja. Whoo hoo!!!! My boss is cool. He has so many ideas in his head. I love it, but sometimes I get tired. But it’s a rite of passage.

Also I am about making money. I have so many business ideas and not enough me or time to do it all. I need about 10 extra arms like an Indian goddess and a Delorean with a flux capacitor. I love meeting dedicated able minded people that are ready to take on challenges because those are the ones who succeed in life. Keep it up my people. We are of the tribe called hustla.

Part of making money means looking for opportunities to start business in Nigeria. Nigeria, a fertile ground for small businesses. Mmmmmmm. Do you smell that? Smell it! It’s success! When you smell raw sewage, it’s an opportunity. When you see trash, it’s an opportunity. When Okada dey bash your car, and you smell burning petrol leaking from it, IT’s AN OPPORTUNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I plan to move to Nigeria ASAP. I love it. I never lived there before, but ‘if you can make it there, you’ll make it anywhere’ and they weren’t talking about New York! Na Gidi be that o! Lol did I mention that I am working on my pidgin?

Other things going on right now? Well, I’m in the Miss Nigeria in America Pageant! MNIA baby! I’m so excited. They have me representing Abia State! I will do it to the fullest! You can read more about that on my other blog. www.MissAdelaja.blogspot.com You can find out about the pageant at www.missnigeriainamerica.org

Also, I have a webshow coming out this Monday July 25th with my Gidi Girl Bee from Naija Villa!!!!! You can check out that blog on www.GidiGirlWebShow.blogspot.com. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook!

Personally my life is cool. I have bad luck with men, but at the end of the day, I’m really enjoying myself. I like being single. I LOVE independence. I REALLY LOVE going on dates. Some are good, some are bad, some just plain ugly. Family is awesome. My parents have mellowed down quite a bit. They are cool. They are like my best friends now. We talk about any and everything.

It may seem like I ramble, but that’s part of my process and you just have to deal with it.
Hope I can keep this blog thing up!

Xoxo
