My Mommy's Day

Wow last weekend was great! I really enjoyed every moment because I was able to spend it with my mommy! We chilled, we talked, then on Sunday (Mother's day) We went to church, then brunch as ... yes my new favorite place, Cuba Libre. We really enjoyed it. SHE really enjoyed it. And in this bonding moment, it really made me wonder why my mom is so great. She is a mom. Everyone says their mother is the best, gives the best kisses, cleans your boo boo the best, makes the best food. Yeah, we have been there and done that. But I really wanted to touch upon why my mother is not just a great mother, but a great woman. And I was beaming from ear to ear just thinking about why she is not only my role model for a great mother, but the epitome of the woman I aspire to be.

Personal life:
Its one thing to be selfless to your children, but to be selfless to other people's children. I love that she has taken other people's kids in as her own. I love that she has taken whole families in to live with us. I love that she gives people from the small that she has.
I love that though she has endured much, she just keeps it going. Nothing brings her down. She keeps a positive attitude in all she does.

Role Model for Education:
My momma is one educated lady! BS in Psychology, Law Degree, Masters in Law, RN degree. I mean, if ever you wanted to let young women know the importance of education, you look to my mom... and I look to her. She has taught me that you empower yourself through education and determination. She also taught me that you are not stuck with the degree you earned at a young age. You are never too old to reinvent your career or go back to school. It's never too late. and you can never have too many kids to go back to school. My  mom was a lawyer, but went back to do nursing and I was already in highschool getting ready for college. It didn't phase her. she never failed a class, she was always scoring top of her class. It put a lot of pressure on me to do well in college. I effectively had no excuse to bring home a grade she would not bring home.

Boss Lady in Business:
And can we say business saavy? JayZ got it wrong, cuz my momma's a hustler. She's the Boss Lady. She is so business minded. She really taught me to be tenacious... but caring. She works hard and does business hard! She says there is nothing you CAN'T do with GOOD plan. Planning is key. Hard work even when you want to give up, is a must. Dedication. And doing it BETTER than everyone else is imperative.

Anyway she is great... and yes I love her too because she bandages my booboo... still at my age... and she makes the best foods and gives me the greatest hugs. I even love her discipline because it makes me a good person....

Mommy this post if for you! I love you mommy!
